The Pilot has been entirely redesigned for 2023, complete with streamlined styling to correspond to the newest models in the Honda lineup. New styling within and out helps to update the Pilot and make it feel more sturdy and less curvy. The 2023 Pilot is new right down to the rearmost generation of Honda's light truck platform, leasing the 2023 pilot will deliver a vehicle with chassis rigidity, handling, and ride caliber into your hands.
The Pilot's engine is again a 3.5-liter V6. Honda says that it's each-new, with a trademark-new aluminum block among other changes. It produces 285 power and 262 lb-ft of torque. That is just a little 5-hp increase over last year's model, though the new Pilot also features a 10-speed automatic transmission that gains a gear over the boon nine-speed box. The new V6 and transmission duo could deliver slightly better acceleration, but we will not know for sure until we get a new Pilot in for our full evaluation. The last-generation Pilot we tested went from 0 to 60 mph in 7 seconds, which was formerly a quicker-than-average time for a modest three-row SUV.
Both give pleasing cabin accouterments and a new interior look that bears some inexplicit resemblance to the new Honda Civic, a look that has exuded around the rest of Honda's smaller vehicles. As with the Civic, the multimedia screen is built up on top of the dashboard rather than being more integrated into it like previously. The Pilot is not the most deluxe member of this class that distinction still belongs to the Telluride and the Palisade but it will not be a letdown.
The Pilot's redundant length gets put to good use for second and third-row passengers. This was a failing of the former Pilot it had a small third row that did not fit passengers comfortably and could not match up with larger challengers. Honda says that alternate-row legroom has grown by 2.4 elevations and the third row only by 0.6 inches, but all of those yield aid out the third row.
Infotainment & Connectivity
A 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen and an accompanying 7.0-inch digital hand cluster are routine on the 2023 Pilot. Honda’s rearmost infotainment interface is simple to use and features both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. TrailSport, voyaging, and Elite models get a larger 9.0-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability the Elite also comes with a 10.2-inch hand cluster.
Honda equips all Pilot models with a comprehensive suite of motorist-backing features it calls Honda Sensing. The parcel includes automated emergency deceleration, eyeless-spot monitoring, adaptive voyage control, automatic high-ray headlamps, and more.
