The 2020 Nissan Sentra Is Here: Full Review

The 2020 Nissan Sentra is yet to make its official debut. The Sentra is more of a rebranded Sylphy. The Chinese concept of the Nissan Sentra- Nissan Sylphy revealed at the Shanghai auto show gives a much-needed glimpse of the soon to be revealed (officially) Sentra. The soon coming 2020 Sentra takes many hints from the Altima. It will be fair to say it is a mix of the original Sentra, Altima, and Maxima all in one.

The most recent Chinese Sylphy has a much familiar 1.6-liter I-4 cylinder engine, connected to a continuously vehicle automatic transmission (CVT) as its only powertrain option. Albeit, the America incoming Sentra is expected to dump that in favor of the modern naturally aspirated inline-four, 2.0-liter similar to the one in Rogue sport with 141 horsepower linked to a continuously variable automatic transmission.

All the grades of the new Nissan shares similar features with the previous model with the great exception in the recent SR Turbo and NISMO models.

Interior

The new interior is so catchy, a striking image of the Altima’s. Also, the sporty interior has an intriguing dashboard design with three circular air vents in the center stack (makes it stand out from the Altima’s) and a tablet-style infotainment screen. An 8-inch touchscreen tops the center stack as another 7.0-inch digital display is sandwiched between the speedometer and tachometer. The cruise control buttons which bears the active driver assistance and convenience technologies are carefully positioned on the right steering wheel.

Talk about comfort, the current Sylphy’s (Sentra) premium cabin is very spacious, just like the 2019 model. The availability of several Storage Spaces all around the cabin makes it a more remarkable sedan amongst other competitors.

Exterior

Expressive, big, and athletic best describes the 2020 Sentra. This no doubt has made it gained more in popularity context relative to rival brands. Taking up the Nissan’s signatory V-motion grille, the front looks very muscular with a sleeker LED headlight and a boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, low bonnet, and a restyled bumper with sharp lines. The rear comes with a pair of new LED taillights and a reshaped bumper that integrates a diffuser-like element. The front and rear lights give a unique and distinct look to the new Nissan. The sides also have a unique sleek appearance with a lower roofline, kick-up C-pillars, and 17-inch alloys; all make it stand out from other sedans, including its predecessor.

Technology

Although, there’s not much info given about any advancement in its technology, however, the Japanese automaker promised great improvement in the overall driving dynamics, which were a big turn-off. It is expected that the soon coming 2020 Sentra will have standard safety features like automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, active-lane control, blind-spot monitors, cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, and intelligent driving alert to anticipate hazardous situations.

The incoming 2020 sedan is more likely to have a huge price hike over its preceding models. Not to worry, our Nissan Sentra lease got you covered. With our Nissan Lease Philadelphia deal, you’d have the rare opportunity to cruise with the vogue Nissan car.
