Things To Know About The 2023 Cadillac XT6

The Cadillac XT6, the largest of its XT-branded crossover SUVs, is listed in the Cadillac lineup directly below the truck-based Escalade. This three-row luxury SUV is geared toward families and competes with versions. The only other Cadillac with three rows of seats that you can purchase is the 2023 XT6. With up to eight passengers and a roomy, family-friendly interior, the XT6 is significantly more agile than an Escalade and more enjoyable to drive because to its mid-size dimensions. The normal engine is a turbocharged four-cylinder, although a more potent V-6 and all-wheel drive are also offered. On paper, the XT6’s formula contributes to the richness of the luxury-SUV segment, but its interior is filled with low-end materials that are inconsistent with its premium goal.

Performance & Engine

Both a 310-hp V-6 engine and a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder are available to XT6 purchasers for 2023. Each one has a nine-speed automatic transmission and comes with the option of front- or all-wheel drive. The XT6 comes in three trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. The first two focus more on comfort, while Sport adds features that improve performance, like a torque-vectoring rear differential and retuned steering. There is a Platinum bundle that includes everything the XT6 needs. No matter the trim, the XT6 is unquestionably attractive. Although the Sport variant can be ordered with 21-inch wheels, 20-inch wheels are standard.

Fuel efficiency & Actual MPG

According to the EPA, the base turbo-four in the 2023 XT6 will achieve up to 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. V-6 engine models have ratings of up to 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the motorway.

Cargo, Comfort & Interior

The interior of the Cadillac comes in seven- and eight-seat configurations, with either two captain’s chairs or a bench with three seats in the second row. A third row that can accommodate three people is standard on every XT6. Only three carry-on luggage are allowed, and there is little room for cargo. However, lowering the last two rows creates adequate space for 31 suitcases.

The auto climate control system operates effectively and reacts quickly to your temperature requests.

Connectivity Information

Touchscreen infotainment, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity, onboard Wi-Fi, and wireless smartphone charging are standard across the board for the XT6. The newest generation of Cadillac’s CUE software responds quickly to requests and is shown clearly on an 8.0-inch screen.

Driver Assistance & Safety

The XT6 comes standard with a variety of driver-assistance functions, including automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, and blind-spot monitoring. In contrast, more sophisticated functions are offered, including adaptive cruise control and night vision. Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection and lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assistance are some of the key safety features.
