Why The 2023 Chevy Bolt Is Trending

Since its introduction in 2016, Chevy fleet has made the Bolt into an exciting compact electric hatchback with unconventional appearance and a compelling value proposition. The Bolt’s front wheels are driven by a single 200-horsepower motor, which allows it to travel 259 miles on a single charge, according to the EPA. Chevy claims that the Bolt’s DC fast-charge capabilities can increase the range by up to 100 miles in just 30 minutes. The Bolt boasts a surprisingly spacious interior that former Chevy drivers will recognize; with the rear seatback folded, there is a ton of cargo space. Read below and learn more about the 2023 Bolt

EV Performance, Power & Motor

It is an electric motor that only drives the front wheels, producing 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. With this configuration, you can accelerate quickly when the light turns green thanks to plenty of low-end torque and a responsive response to accelerator inputs. At highway speeds, reactions are slower, but the new electric Chevy should still make passing and merging on the freeway simple.

Battery Life, Charging & Range

The 2023 Bolt EV has a range of 259 miles on a single charge. Chevy claims that by offering a dual-level charging line for the Bolt EV that can be plugged into both Level 1 (120 volt) and Level 2 (240 volt) outlets, many customers won’t need to purchase a separate home charger. The Bolt’s maximum Level 2 charging speed rises to 11 kW as well, enabling a seven-hour full charge of the battery. With a Level 3 connection, the electrified hatchback is still accessible with DC rapid charging, which can increase the range by around 100 miles every 30 minutes.

Fuel Efficiency & MPGe

The combined rating for the 2023 Bolt EV is 120 MPGe. The most recent Bolt EV received 102 MPGe, which equates to a highway range of 180 miles.

Cargo, Comfort & Interior

Chevy upgrades the interior of the Bolt EV with a more premium design that, according to the manufacturer, uses better materials and more soft-touch surfaces. A new 8.0-inch fully digital gauge cluster is visible to the driver, and the outdated electronic shifter has been replaced by a set of toggles and buttons.

Connectivity & Infotainment

A 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with popular features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is included on every Bolt EV. There is also a wireless smartphone charger and a Wi-Fi hotspot with a subscription model. Physical volume and tuning knobs, as well as a shortcut button for the home screen, are included in addition to the touch controls.

Driver Assistance & Safety

A variety of driver-assistance features are both standard and available on the 2023 Bolt EV. The hatchback has standard automatic high beams, front pedestrian recognition, and an optional 360-degree camera system, as well as rear cross-traffic alert.
